Our Retained Search engagements are highly tailored research-based solutions to our client's hiring needs. Such engagements are more prevalent for senior positions. In these engagements, we operate on an exclusive basis and we charge an upfront fee. Our search methodology, after consultation with the client, is rigorous, highly targeted and delivers an insightful mapping of the talent pool in the industry.
This is the most typical form of assignment. Our rates are based on an agreed percentage of the placed candidate’s gross compensation for the first 12 months, including guaranteed and sign-on bonuses, fixed bonuses, fixed allowances and expatriate allowances such as hardship, housing and education.
The rates typically vary according to the seniority of the hire, the uniqueness of the requirements and the nature of our engagement (exclusive or non-exclusive). Our fees are purely payable on successful close of the assignment.
In many instances, our clients have already identified the candidates that they want to hire and most often than not, these candidates are currently working for their close competitors. Understandably, it may not be appropriate for our clients to contact these candidates directly. For an agreed fee, our consultant shall “front” the assignment and approach the identified candidate with the objective of convincing the candidate to come forward for an interview with our client. This arrangement will help our client lower their hiring costs.
